1. Install spacers for the Megasquirt
board, and any additional PCBs. The two shown are available to
purchase as part of a kit.
The Multi-IO board provides the necessary
circuitry for controlling the 3-wire Idle Control Valve. The Spark
Driver board (which in this configuration is not used for spark!),
provides a socket on the back for connecting auxiliary input's and
outputs, such as a Knock sensor controller.
Note: The two spacers for the mega squirt board at
the bottom of the base, should be turned upside down, and screwed in
from behind. The Megasquirt board then just rests on top.
2. Wire the 55-pin Motronic socket. Print out this template, and cut along the yellow lines. Then put the template over the back of the socket.
3. Wire the optional PCB's. See PCB Wiring Guide for full details.
4. Wire the DB37 & DB15 socket (V3.57 board) The pin numbers for the DB37 plug are in shown on the above wiring template in green brackets above.
5. Mount the MS Board.
Cut holes in the lid for the sockets, and MAP sensor. Put some duck tape, or something to insulate the innder cover, so that it doesn't short out the comnnectors.
