Usage Notes

Make sure the board, is properly grounded.  It's designed to be mounted on metel, which must be grounded to the vehicles negative supply.

Use isolators on the drivers (supplied), and make sure they are bolted down to metal to act as a heatsink. When fixing the drivers to a metal surface, make sure any drilled holes are free from any stray bits of metal.  Countersink them is necessary with a large drill bit.  It's very easy to cause a short.  Test with a continuity tester/multimeter to be sure.   


Connect the pins A, B, C & D to your megasquirt board.  The diagram below may help.  Read the Megasquirt-extra manual for a more detailed description of the outputs.

The spark outputs should be connected to the negative terminal/pins of the coil.
